This beautiful tiger rosewood cabinet was one of my favorite custom guitar speaker cabinet projects of the year. The mission was find a wood whose color and grain were high in contrast. When I found this lot of tiger rosewood, I knew it was perfect. I decided to also use wenge to create the black stripes. To make the wenge stripes really pop out, I outlines them with thin curly maple stripes. The cabinet was a replacement cab for the customer's Framus Ruby Riot (TM) .
