Hey Scott -
After a few days of constant communication, discussion of woods and wood-tones as well as speakers, we finally thought up the perfect combination. Once I saw the pictures from your local lumbar yard, I knew something special was going to happen. I remember vividly receiving the email while I was out with the first few attachments of the work in progress. I stopped dead in my tracks and just could not wait for the finished product to be at my doorstep. Before I knew it, the UPS driver brought this piece of art to my doorstep. I slowly and carefully opened up that perfectly packed cabinet and fell in love instantly. Time to plug it in.
Did I mention that the same day the cabinet arrived, I also received my box set from Pearl Jam's reissued Ten release? I spent the next few hours up until my fingers were bleeding breaking in the speaker, and enjoying every single second of the cabinet and the sound being produced. Carving my way through the songs from Ten in preparation for playing the album in full with No Code, the Ultimate Pearl Jam Tribute Band that I play rhythm guitar for - I knew that my tone has never been better, and my gear has never looked as beautiful as it does now.
On to rehearsal for my original band, The Fifth, the cabinet graciously provided a look to our unique perspective of stage presence, and helping me to not only ease my setup from lugging around an ugly standard looking 4x12 to an absolutely stunning 1x12. The cabinet also stopped my bandmates dead in their tracks and made me just play for about 15 minutes before we'd even start rehearsing our material.
While rehearsing with No Code, each and every time, I am complimented on how great I've been sounding since the switch to the Miyako Designs cabinet and of course its absolute beauty and craftsmanship that came along with it. Bringing it out on the road for the first time this past weekend made me appreciate it's stellar look even more, as I found myself taking pictures of my setup before soundcheck.
By looking at this cabinet you can tell the sheer genius and skill as well as hard work and love that went into making it. The only way to compete with how it's made is to show it off, and play it while trying to take as great of care of it as possible. I'd never even think about moving this without a flight case, and haven't yet! I even bought a few coasters to not have to worry about getting rings on the cabinet at a rock and roll show! Needless to say, 100% satisfied is not even enough credit for this cabinet. It's just amazing. Thank you!
